Tene'ya began singing at the age of three. She is a member of Changing Lives Ministries where Michael C. Bradford is the pastor. There, she sings on the praise and worship team and with the choir. She is also the youth department and media department administrator. Further, she is an Aspiring Missionary as well. She has sung with the International Churches Of God In Christ Sunshine Band children's choir and has used her gift of song during various travels and singing engagements.

She has sung with such gospel artists as Reverend Cleophas Robinson, Jr. Pastor Shadrach Robinson, Reverend William Rainer and also Jewel Brown. God has also blessed Tene'ya to sing before President Bill Clinton in Memphis, TN. She was blessed to travel and tour with the Willie D. Brown Theatrical Touring Co., where she displayed not only her singing, but acting talent. Tene'ya holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University. She is currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Special Education from Webster University as well as a Doctorate in Biblical Studies.
